Sarah Matsche Promoted to Branch Manager
Wausau, Wis. (February 27, 2025): Peoples State Bank promotes Sarah Matsche to branch manager of the bank’s Weston location.
Matsche has been in the banking industry for nearly 20 years, joining the Peoples team in 2016 as a personal banker. In addition to helping customers with their various financial needs, she’s assisted in onboarding and training new retail employees and provided bank-wide technical and customer service support.
“Sarah’s firsthand experience and willingness to pitch in at any capacity makes her well-positioned to lead the Weston branch,” said Corey Barnes, Peoples State Bank vice president and retail sales manager. “We’re confident she will continue to be an ideal team player in her new leadership role.”

Matsche has been a part of the Wausau community for over 26 years. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening, hunting, fishing, and exploring the outdoors. She’s involved in her local community as the chair of Breakfast with Santa and as a religious education teacher at her home parish.
