Use the Bank Peoples app to deposit checks into your Peoples accounts easily

You received a check in the mail from your Aunt Mabel but didn’t have time to run to the bank to deposit it. It happens to all of us from time to time. But there’s an easy solution. Deposit your check using the Bank Peoples app. It’s simple to do. Here’s how.
Before you start, make sure you add the special endorsement “For Mobile Deposit Only, Peoples State Bank” on the back of the check above your signature. Without it, your deposit could be delayed or declined.
Open the Bank Peoples app on your phone. Click on Deposit on your dashboard, or use the menu and look for Deposit Checks. Next, fill in the dollar amount of the check you’re depositing and click continue.
If you have more than one account set up to receive funds, you’ll next have to choose which account the money will be deposited into. If you only have one account set up for remote deposits, then you’ll skip this step.
Now it’s time to take photos of the front and back of your check. You’ll take a picture of the front of your check first, aligning the check within the box that shows on your screen. If you can’t read the check information, you might want to try it again. Make sure to take the photo with enough light to easily see all the check numbers. If the front image looks good, click next to take a picture of the back of the check.
Again, you’ll need to make sure to add the special endorsement “For Mobile Deposit Only, Peoples State Bank” above your signature on the check.
After taking photos of the front and back of the check you’re depositing, click Submit to upload the pictures and information to Peoples State Bank. Most checks clear within a couple of days.
It’s as simple as that. But don’t forget to call Aunt Mabel to let her know you appreciate her gift and what you plan on using it for.
